Endless in Venice: A Fusion of Modern Icons and Venetian Mystery

Amid the winding streets and glistening canals of Venice, a new artwork by Endless has appeared on the wall of Al Colombo — a restaurant renowned not only for its Venetian charm but now for its connection to contemporary art.

This installation marks an extension of Endless’ recent projects in London and Brighton, bridging the energy of those urban spaces with the romance and intrigue of Venice. The piece features a striking portrait constructed from cut-out magazine covers and advertisements, woven together with self-portraits, creating a conversation between identity, consumerism, and art.

Two of Endless’ most recognisable works — “Chapel” and “Crotch Grab” — also make an appearance within the composition. These works, celebrated and exhibited at Cris Contini Contemporary Gallery, bring a powerful continuity to his evolving visual language.

Incorporating iconic Venetian imagery, the piece captures a mood of mystery and modernity — a reflection of Venice’s timeless allure seen through a contemporary lens. Endless describes the work as “a feeling of Venice mixed with a modern and mysterious sensibility.”

This installation was made possible thanks to Domenico, the owner of Al Colombo, whose passion for art and community has allowed Endless to share his vision in this unique public setting. By granting permission for this non-permanent work, Domenico continues to strengthen Venice’s dialogue between tradition and the avant-garde.

Through this piece, Endless hopes to resonate with the spirit of Venice — a city that thrives on art, beauty, and emotion — and to reflect its energy back to the people who make it so alive.
