Blur.
From the inside.

No One U Know
The story behind the photographs.
Dave Rowntree photographed Blur not as an observer, but as someone living the experience alongside them.
Throughout the band’s early years, Dave carried a camera with him as Blur travelled through Britain, Europe, America and Japan.
Rather than concentrating on performances, his photographs capture what happened in between — journeys, hotel rooms, days off, friendships and the everyday moments that would eventually become part of Blur’s history.
Presented together in No One U Know, the archive offers a remarkably personal view of one of Britain’s defining bands.

The Artist
Dave
Rowntree
Musician. Photographer. Storyteller.
For more than four decades, Dave Rowntree has been recognised as the drummer and founding member of Blur.
Alongside a career at the centre of British music, photography became a way for Dave to record the people, places and moments surrounding the band’s rise.
These photographs were never created as publicity images. They form a personal visual diary made from inside the experience itself.
