Indelible Artist
MR BRAINWASH
Mr Brainwash is a French-born, Los Angeles–based artist whose work merges street art, pop culture and advertising language into bold, high-impact visual statements.
Biography
Artist Background
Mr Brainwash (Thierry Guetta) emerged from the street-art movement with a practice
rooted in visual excess, optimism and immediacy. Initially documenting graffiti
and street artists on film, his transition into making art himself was made public
through the documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop.
His work embraces pop iconography, celebrity culture and the language of advertising,
layered with painterly interventions that keep each piece deliberately energetic
and unresolved.
