Artist: Mr Brainwash
Artwork: Legend Forever (Muhammed Ali)
Medium: Mixed media with silkscreen inks, spray paint and dripped paint
Edition: Unique Work
Artwork Size: 57 × 76.2 cm
Framing: Framed
Legend Forever (Muhammed Ali) brings together two instantly recognisable forces of popular culture: Muhammad Ali and Mr Brainwash’s energetic street-art language.
Celebrating Ali as both a sporting icon and a cultural figure, the work transforms his image through layers of silkscreen ink, spray paint and expressive dripped paint. The rawness of the surface contrasts with the familiarity of the portrait, creating a work that feels immediate, bold and distinctly characteristic of Mr Brainwash.
As a unique work rather than part of an edition, the piece carries the individual marks, layering and painterly interventions of the artist, making this particular composition one of a kind.
Framed and ready to display, Legend Forever (Muhammed Ali) is a striking meeting of contemporary street art, portraiture and one of the most celebrated figures of the twentieth century.
