Flower and Sun reimagines the traditional floral still life through Mr Brainwash’s distinctive fusion of Pop and street art.
A vibrant bouquet of sunflowers fills the composition against a radiant yellow ground, with brightly coloured blossoms layered over an expressive, painterly surface. The work enters into a playful dialogue with one of art history’s most familiar subjects, bringing the sunflower motif into Mr Brainwash’s energetic contemporary visual language.
Bold graphic forms, vivid colour and expressive marks bring together references to art history with the immediacy of Pop and street art, creating a work that feels both familiar and distinctly contemporary.
Released in 2023 as a limited edition of 89, Flower and Sun is hand signed and thumbprinted by Mr Brainwash and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
