Artist: Adam Bridgland
Title: Wake Up
Dimensions: 50 × 40 cm
Medium: Original artwork
Description:
Wake Up brings Adam Bridgland’s distinctive use of text, colour and memory into a direct, emotionally charged composition.
Set against a densely worked deep-blue ground, the words “Wake up next to people who make you feel happy” are painted across the surface in warm, contrasting tones. The simplicity of the phrase gives the work its immediacy — an everyday observation transformed into something personal, optimistic and quietly poignant.
The layered brushwork and deliberately imperfect lettering retain the physicality of Bridgland’s process, balancing the familiarity of the words with the individuality of a hand-painted work.
Part of Adam Bridgland’s forthcoming exhibition at Indelible Fine Art, If I Could Just Figure Out Where to Put All the Memories Floating Around Me.
