Taken during Blur's first visit to Japan, Crosstown Traffic captures Graham Coxon leaning from the window of a moving car as the band navigates the streets of Tokyo. Framed by the city's broad avenues, overhead cables and distinctive urban architecture, the image perfectly conveys the excitement of discovering a new place through the window of a passing car.
Rather than composing a traditional portrait, Dave Rowntree focuses on the fleeting experience of travel itself.
